OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove will not ignite, check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is on in the oven, it means another part will need to be repaired. The cause of the issue might be an surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that does not heat will not do much good. Your oven does not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. You always need a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to identify the location of the problem and repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but does not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we are able to repair these parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning ovens can experience door problems often. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door doesn’t open and then complete the repair in order to correct the problem.
